Roger Schenck, Director

Roger was born and raised in northeastern Pennsylvania, in a suburb of Wilkes-Barre called Forty Fort. After graduating with a major in chemistry from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster Pennsylvania in 1970, he spent three years in graduate school, eventually making his way to Columbus, Ohio to accept a position at Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) in 1973. After 42 years at CAS, Roger retired and is now living with his wife, Dawn, in Dublin, OH. In 2019, Roger was the event leader for the Pedal with Pete Columbus Event. At the moment, he is spending much of his time volunteering with a faith-based organization called “Reaching the Nations International”, helping to revamp a home in the Milo-Grogan area of Columbus. Roger enjoys woodworking, reading and bicycling.
