The Pedal with Pete Northeast Ohio event is on for 2021. The event is again a joint effort of Pedal with Pete and Youth Challenge. Last year’s inaugural Northeast Ohio event was limited due to the pandemic. The 2021 event will be a fully supported ride on Saturday, September 18.
The start / end location for the ride will be the Emerald Necklace Marina, 1500 Cleveland Metro Park Drive, Lakewood, OH 44107. Routes of varying lengths will follow the bike paths and parkways of the Cleveland Metro Parks Emerald Necklace chain of parks to the west and south of Cleveland.
9 mile route – Turnaround and rest stop at Little Met Golf Course
30 mile route – Turnaround and rest stop at Wallace Lake (Berea)
60 mile route – Turnaround and rest stop at Chippewa Picnic Area
All rest stops will have restrooms, water and food. Rest stops will close at 1:00 PM. Long route riders should schedule early morning start times. There will be SAG support drivers/vans on the routes.
Route maps will be available on the STRIDE registration site in July.
Starting times will be staggered from 7:00 to 10:00 AM. You will signup for a starting time when you register.
On behalf of all the volunteers at the Pedal with Pete Foundation, Youth Challenge, and the cerebral palsy community, we want to thank you for your continuing support. We hope that you will be able to join us for this unique event. Be assured that everyone’s health and safety is our overriding concern as we continue our planning for this year’s event. Stay healthy and get your cycling legs ready!
